Bromsgrove established an early lead scoring 2 converted tries after 15 minutes. Bridgnorth registered their first points on 25 minutes through a Will Biddell penalty.
Grove extended the lead with a penalty and then their forwards drove over for an unconverted try to make the score 22 - 3 at the break.
The second half started with the Grove winger being sin binned for a deliberate knock on and Marley Finn took full advantage to power through for a try which Biddell converted from the touch line. North brought on Ben Rochelle and Tom Parker but any chance they had of getting back into the game ended with the Grove scrum half intercepting a pass to score under the posts and earn his side a try bonus point. The lead was further extended with Grove scoring wide out which went unconverted. Grove then received their second yellow card with their tight head leaving the field for an incident off the ball. Bridgnorth again made the most of the numeric superiority with the forwards driving over and hooker Luis Evitt scoring, Biddell adding the extra points. A good break by Gareth Bladen and kick ahead set up good field position for Luis Evitt to touch down for a second try which went unconverted to make the final score 34 - 22 in favour of the hosts. Bridgnorth welcome Burton next week on their Vice President’s day at the Edgar Davies Ground.
