Bridgnorth 54 Burton 26
Bridgnorth welcomed back captain Jonah Boyce for his first start of the season following injury and opened the scoring in the first minute when hooker Luis Evitt drove over with Elliot Murphy converting. Burton hit back immediately with an unconverted try by their right wing and then took the lead with a converted try. Evitt touched down for his second converted try before North lost prop George Newman with a rib injury bringing on Morgan French into the second row moving the versatile Joe Cave to prop . The North forwards were dominating and Evitt completed a hat trick of tries after 25 only minutes, Murphy converting for a 21 - 12 lead. Burton then missed a fairly simple penalty attempt before Loti Molitika extended the lead with a converted try securing the bonus point before half time. North then gave away a succession of penalties culminating in Molitika spending 10 minutes in the bin for pulling down a maul. North did well with a man down to keep Burton out and lead 28 - 12 at the break.
The second half started with North still a man down but they extended their lead after good work by Joe Cave allowed Murphy to kick to the corner and wing Jordan Burgess touched down. With North back to full strength flanker Callum Bradbury got on the score sheet following a good catch and drive from a line out, Murphy converting. North utilised their bench bringing on Rochelle and Austin and a dominant scrum pushed Burton off their own ball for Gareth Bladen to dot down, Biddell converting. North lost number 8 Connor Nicholls to the bin and Burton took advantage to drive over for a converted try. After a succession of scrum penalties Burton lost a prop to the bin and Bradbury touched down for another push over try converted by Biddell. To their credit Burton kept competing and completed the scoring with a converted try to secure a deserved bonus point of their own. Next week North travel to Doncaster who sit third from bottom of the table with only one win from their four games.
