With the RFU confirming the new league structures for next season Bridgnorth hosted Sandbach for the last time in the foreseeable future. Elliott Murphy opened the scoring with a penalty and then Jordan Burgess making his 100th first team appearance scored out wide which Murphy converted from the touch line. Sandbach hit back with a converted try before Gregg Szczepanski scored a converted try to make the half time score 17-7.
A period of sustained pressure led to a George Newman try and when Murphy converted a Callum Bradbury bonus point try Bridgnorth looked out of site leading 29 - 7. But yellow cards for Bradbury and then skipper Jonah Boyce let the visitors back into the game and North ended up hanging on for the victory following 3 late tries from Sandbach 2 of which were converted.
Next week Bridgnorth visit Scunthorpe who will also be playing their rugby in a different league next year
