The 2022/23 season see’s our ‘Bridgnorth Bulls’, formerly know as our beloved ‘2XV’ enter the competitive leagues at Counties 2 Midlands West (North).
You may be wondering why we’ve decided to change the name whilst so many other 2XV’s entering the leagues haven’t… Well, its in homage to our famous clubhouse, ‘The Bull’, which was bought back in 1976 for a staggering £11,500 and possesses so many brilliant memories, and our club crest in which a Bull rears fiercely.
The Bridgnorth Bulls is jam packed with immense young talent, experienced former 1XV players and an immense culture and love for the game; we cannot wait to see them in action! Sam Woodhall skippers the side and has been unwavering in his ambition to win the league and promote at the first opportunity.
By entering the competitive leagues, the Bulls are promised far more fixtures and local derbys. This mean that the EDG is almost always in use, which is incredibly exciting.
We welcome you all to be a part of their journey and continue to bang the boards and get behind them.
The Bulls will take on their first game of the season on Friday 5th August, 7pm EDG.
A special game in memory of a special player for Bridgnorth RFC and Ludlow RFC, Will Rogers. Sadly taken far too soon.
