David Chance – Comedy Vocalist will be our Compare for the event.
Comedy Vocalist Dave Chance has gained a wealth of experience in the field of entertainment and for many years has performed on some of the world’s great cruise liners for companies such as P&O, Fred Olsen, Saga, Island Cruises, and Travelscope.

Major General Alan Hawley CBE – Guest Speaker
General Alan Hawley is Wolverhampton born and bred. He came to Bridgnorth in 1974 and played a season for the club before going off into the Army. He subsequently went to the University of Birmingham and qualified in medicine. He has lived a life combining medicine and soldiering since. He has been fortunate to be involved in most of the major operations of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. He has seen service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
His illustrated talk will concentrate on the experiences of operations in Rwanda, Afghanistan, and Iraq. As the most experienced medical commander since the Second World War, he will offer behind the scenes insights that never made it to the media. This is a warts and all story of the realities of combat and nation building that allows the humanity and compassion of humanitarian assistance to shine through the inhumanity and sorrow of war and genocide.
It is a unique opportunity to listen to and question a local man who was there. Miss it at your peril!
Comedian Tony Wallace will conclude our entertainment for the afternoon.
Tony’s one man show really does have something for everyone and has earned him numerous awards throughout the UK, including the Midlands, Yorkshire and Blackpool.
This cheeky faced entertainer easily pleases all age groups and, with his style of comedy being of the ‘clean and clever variety’, even family audiences find nothing offensive from this obliging and accommodating entertainer.
