The works done in June and early July are

-Continuation of Blockwork external walls and internal partitions.
-Scaffolding for final lifts of Blockwork continuing
-completion of Roof sheeting and Vapour barrier, work continuing for fascia’s, gutters and soffits with the layers of insulation, PV panels and sedum layers to the roof to follow.
- installation of the underslung drainage to the soffit of the floor slab from each gully or drain point in the slab for the changing and kitchen facilities.
- road grading and kerbing to the Bandon Lane continuing
- trench work and laying of cables and ducts for services substantially complete in the under slab areas
- first fix joinery commenced in month with door frames and temporary protection works for screeding to commence in July.

Work planned for July includes

- continuation of roofing with planned completion at end August
- substantial completion of Blockwork and Brickwork due by end of July
- first phase of window installation to commence with order placed and deposit paid for materials
- mechanical and electrical first fix due to continue
- first phase of screeding works to commence on 18th July in the function area.
- first fix joinery and plumbing work continuing

General Update on Completion

For those who have been witnessing the project over the Summer months you will see that the building will soon be nearing completion. Because we are moving from existing facilities at the EDG and the Bull and as with all new buildings which are due to be occupied there will be a phased handover which is forecast to commence during September and October. In liaison with the Builder and when he has completed the preceding trades the BRFC working groups now being formed will deal with items such as painting and decorating followed by installation of fixtures and fittings, a number of which will be coming from our existing facilities at the Bull and EDG.
Volunteer Groups will assist in these areas so if you are someone whom can help please contact Steve Farrell or Danny Griffiths who will provide the details.

The sale of the Old Clubhouse is progressing where a number of parties have expressed interest and the Agent, Halls, is in the process of now calling forward bids for the property from these parties over the course of the next few weeks. We will update members on progress of the sale as it progresses.
