The lads from 'Maul Together' set off for their John O'Groats to Lands End fundraising cycle ride on Friday 23rd July.
Most of the team have played together at Bridgnorth since they were youngsters and comprise: Will Bishop, Jimmy Gore, Gareth Bladen, Dan Griffiths, Will Biddell, Calum Madden, Ed Taylor, Elliot Brooks, Adam Gittings, Jonah Boyce and their star player who will be leading from the front no doubt - Emily Ireland-Jones!
The team have been busy fundraising and getting prepared for the last 6 months and have worked hard to get sponsorship and donations - and have raised an amazing £30k already!
All money raised will go to their selected 2021 charities -
MY NAME’5 DODDIE FOUNDATION (famous Scottish Rugby player Doddie Weir)
The Foundation invests in research to find meaningful treatments and work towards finding a cure for motor neuron disease. It supports people with MND and their families, to help them live as fulfilled a life as possible.
MATT HAMPSON FOUNDATION
The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.
The team will be coming through Bridgnorth evening of Wednesday 28 July and we can catch up with them down at the EDG. But in the meantime - the very BEST OF BRIDGNORTH LUCK to you in this amazing endeavour.
