Bridgnorth Rugby Club is delighted to announce that Ian 'Knocker' Hill will be taking on the role of Community Rugby Coach.

As part of the club’s commitment to investing in the future of our players and the growth of the game, this new role will focus on developing rugby within local schools and the wider community.

Ian is a passionate coach who believes rugby should be introduced to everyone, sharing the many benefits the sport brings both on and off the field. Rugby has been a huge part of Ian’s life for many years — from playing at Bridgnorth, to coaching his son through every age group from under-4s to under-18s.

Most recently, Ian has led Bridgnorth’s successful Women’s team to an undefeated, league-winning season in 2024–25. His commitment to growing the women’s and girls’ game has also seen him take on the role of Lead Girls Coach at the club.

With some new work–life balance opportunities, Ian is now excited to bring rugby into local schools, inspiring the next generation of players and sharing the values that make our sport so special.

We’re thrilled to have Ian leading this exciting new chapter as Bridgnorth Rugby Club continues to invest in the future of our game and our community.
