What better day to invite you to a very exciting Presidents Day Lunch!
We have a wonderful pre match Lunch organised for Presidents Day, to celebrate our Bridgnorth RFC President Alun Stoll.
Alun joined the club in 1970, he was club captain season 74/75 and season 80/81. Chairman for two years, press secretary for three, and fixture secretary for 25 years, finally becoming President in 2008.
Alun leads by example at everything he does. A true rugby man and someone who’s calm and experience voice is always very much appreciated.
Thank you, Alun, for all you have done and continue to do for our club.
On Saturday 23rd March, our Senior Men 1st XV , play their last home League game of the season as they entertain Kenilworth RFC, 3.15 kick off.
We are delighted to announce we have two very special guests coming for lunch.
Derek Bevan and Nigel Owens!
We will be entertained by two of the world's greatest rugby referees.
The two Welshmen who've been given the accolade of being the top rugby referees in the world. The only two Welshmen to have refereed a World Cup final.
They've not only served the game that they love, they've contributed to its development and appeal over many decades.
They're also great friends and two really funny men! When Derek stopped refereeing, he became Nigel's coach. He then served as Nigel's TMO for many seasons. I’m sure they share stories of the game from their point of view: the global travel and village rugby, making difficult decisions and surviving the times when things aren't going so well, and all those World Cups, of course!
